The following stories are not part of any series. They share a few concepts but not a common history.

I don’t know why so many of these ended up being so dark. The Last Angel was a conscious effort to reverse that. For that reason—as an antidote—and because it was the last one I wrote, I’ve placed it last in this section. Because it’s my personal favorite, I named this collection after it.

The rest are in no particular order. They were written over a 12-year period, and I’m not even positive any more in what order I wrote them.
